Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, colloquially known as Pindi, is the third-largest city in the Pakistani province of Punjab and the fourth-most populous city in Pakistan. Located along the Soan River in north-western Punjab, Rawalpindi lies adjacent to Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, and the two are jointly known as the "twin cities".

  • Winter (Nov–Feb): Best Time. Daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 22°C. Nights are cold, dropping below 5°C. The air is crisp and clear, making it ideal for walking through traditional markets. 
  • Spring (Mar–Apr): Great Second Choice. Temperatures are mild and pleasant. The city landscapes and nearby parks are green and blooming.
  • Summer (May–Aug): Avoid If Possible. Summer is intensely hot and humid. Temperatures regularly exceed 40°C in May and June. July and August bring heavy, disruptive monsoon rains. 
  • Autumn (Sep–Oct): Good Transitions. The extreme summer heat fades away. Evenings become comfortable, though afternoons can still feel quite warm.
